The armadillo does not really bite because they have very small mouths and but they have very powerful claws which attributed to armadillo damage to lawns, gardens, landscaping, plumbing, electrical wires, underground cables etc. They can even dig under pools and cause them to crack and leak.

Armadillos are probably one of the strangest looking creatures you can find here in North America. They remind me of little odd looking armored dinosaurs running around in the 21st century. They are actually not of this world and are another immigration problem of the invading wildlife kind.

The armadillo is actually a native of Central and South America and mainly in Paraquay. Some species groups, such as the long-nosed armadillos, are widely distributed over the Americas, whereas others, such as the fairy armadillos only found in South America.

The nine-banded armadillo, (Dasypus novemcinctus), is found in the United States, primarily in the south central states (notably Texas), but with a range that extends as far east as South Carolina and Florida and as far north as Nebraska; they have been consistently expanding their range in North America over the last century due to a lack of natural predators, and have been found as far north as southern Illinois and Indiana.

Atlanta Armadillo Removal

The armadillo is commonly found dead as road kill on the side of the road. One of the primitive ways this species defends itself is it jumps very high when it gets scared. Well sadly the armadillo has not evolved and not learned to jump into traffic when a car scares them collides with the undercarriage or fenders of passing vehicles . I have read reports of armadillos known to occasionally jump high enough to smash car windows on smaller chassis vehicles. Ouch !!

Look Back At Yesterday

The armadillo has a leathery shell which has some value but few deal in the trade and sale of armadillo skins anymore. We don’t sell armadillo skins are any

One of the mos beautiful adaptations I have ever seen done with armadillo skin would be this vintage armadillo skin purse.

early 1920s art nouveau style

Vintage armadillo skin purse.

Rare leather purse, uniquely bizarre! Perfect for a taxidermy enthusiast. Rhinestone eyes, mirror inside of bag. Metal and early plastic clasp on front, reminiscent of early 1920s art nouveau style. Lined interior. Ready for your next adventure!

The Atlanta Wildlife Removal Co

We provide wildlife management, wildlife consultation, and wildlife trapping as a professional wildlife control company.

We also provide attic insulation replacement, attic cleanup, feces removal, attic restoration and a variety of other cleaning up behind bats, birds animals related tasks.

Bat Removal, Bat Control, Bat Prevention, Bat Proofing

website

One of the more common issues we see these days is poor construction techniques that are creating future wildlife issues. In this case this porch was not completed. There should be a freeze board at the top of the brick to close off the gap between the brick and the ceiling.

You can see the gap a little better in this photo. The wildlife issue with this home was bats entering the attic through the hole at the inside corner of the gap. This was just one of many entry and exit points used by the bats to enter and leave this home and then we completely sealed up the attic, roof, chimney, soffit, fascia areas.. The Atlanta Bat Removal Company is a licensed, insured, State of Georgia listed Wildlife Removal Co providing bat inspections, bat control, bat proofing, bat exclusion with our mission every day to have your home bat free.

We remove blackbirds, buzzards, crows, doves, ducks, grackles, pigeons, sparrows, starlings, swallows, swifts, woodpeckers, turkeys, vultures are just on the small list of nuisance birds we can help remove and prevent from returning. We can solve your bird pooh, bird poop bird guano, bird feces problem. Lets talk aboout how we can end your nuisance bird problems today.

Atlanta Raccoon Removal, Raccoon Control, Raccoon Trapping, Raccoon Proofing

The don’t call him the masked bandit with good reason! Raccoons are mischievous and they break and rip off more parts of homes then few of us care to think about. raccoons destroy vents, soffits, fascia and about anything they can get their hands on and try to rip open. Raccoons don’t really like living in trees anymore. They actually like it better right here in the city where all these nice people leave their garbage cans open or un secure, if you ask them its a raccoons smorgasbord out there and especially on trash night.

We often here of the so called experts talk of only certain s a year we have raccoons in attics and I can tell you we pull baby raccoons out of attics year round here in the Greater Metro Area.

There are two contributing reasons for this behavior.

Boar raccoons are very territorial and momma raccoons must hide their young and live in fear of a male raccoon picking up there scent and trying to kill the babies which will force the mother raccoon back into a mating cycle once she stops breastfeeding. Thus a female could go back into heat at any time of the year and in a urban environment the odds are even greater.

Many raccoons have come from now very well adjusted adaptability to a urban environment and many urban raccoons may have already lost their behavioral -survival imprinting to survive any where but in attics and buildings occupied in the vicinity of humans. Mothers with a plentiful food supply, safe shelter can go into estrus sometimes any time of the year.

Raccoon Proofing -

The Atlanta Raccoon Removal Co, raccoon prevention, raccoon proofing making homes raccoon free again. Licensed , Insured Raccoon Control.

The best way to get raccoons out of your home and attic is to have a plan to keep those pesky raccoons, squirrels, bats, birds out of your home for good by raccoon proofing, bird proofing, bat proofing, squirrel proofing, rat proofing or other wise animal or critter proofing your home. We seal the vermin out and provide you a guarantee in writing to return should you have any trouble.

Removing Squirrels In Atlanta -

We are finding pinkies or gray squirrels babies or pups most every month of the year here so all I can say to the squirrel experts not in urban Atlanta because around here we find them or the chance of finding young baby squirrel in a home or attic, chimney, fireplace or crawl space most any time of the year.
